Right i have 2 HDDs both have windows 7 installed. I have a main hdd i boot from the other is missing that 20gbish where win 7 is. I want to delete the partition with win7 on my secondary drive and free up that 20gb. In disk management the secondary drives win7 partition does not show. How can i delete this partition ?? any boot programs i can use ?

should be able to rite click the HD that the 20gb belongs to and click Extend volume , providing the 20gb was deleted which then would have marked it as inactive

parted magic

Download the ISO and burn it to disc with IMGBurn

Boot from that.

Make 100% sure you're working on the right drive and use gparted (part of the boot cd) to edit your partition. You click the 'Apply' or Tick button when you're ready for it to make the changes you've set.

diskppatch is a good bootable-DOS progam you can use for deleting partitions aswell, i'd say going for one of these utilities is probably your best idea.

Can you post a screenshot of your Disk Management window?

You shouldn't need to use a bootable program to do what you want to do.
