Spend max £2000 and be happy with it. Pocket the rest. Spending more than that is just a bit stupid. Put about £500-£1000 in a 7.1 sound setup, because little point getting a PC and making do with PC squeekers

I'd say there's room to make sure cooling and storage is on point and push the boat out a little.

if you are all suggesting to lower the budget, what would you recommend for gaming in 4k?

As you are doing Video Editing as well I would go for a Ryzen R7 build with 2 x 1080 ti's. At 4K resolution there isn't going to be much difference in framerates between Ryzen and an i7.

If you want something more extreme (More cores/threads) then look at AMD Thread Ripper.

I agree with Lee, Ryzen 7 and 2 x 1080 Ti's and then maybe opt for OcUK's new eco friendly delivery system with the change.

Mate, with your budget I'd just go on Amazon and find the most expensive for that socket.

Crosshair VI are decent, supposedly.
