"My budget for this is around £9000."

Spend max £2000 and be happy with it. Pocket the rest. Spending more than that is just a bit stupid. Put about £500-£1000 in a 7.1 sound setup, because little point getting a PC and making do with PC squeekers

I'd say there's room to make sure cooling and storage is on point and push the boat out a little.
Otherwise though, aye.

It may be outdated in 2 years but it would still be a legend and maybe run minecraft at potato graphics. :X

I haven't stated that's definately what i'm getting.

I'm open for suggestions. :)

I would also prefer to build my own pc. Prebuilt ones are boring..right? ;)
If that's your thing then who's to convince you otherwise I guess...

if you are all suggesting to lower the budget, what would you recommend for gaming in 4k?

As you are doing Video Editing as well I would go for a Ryzen R7 build with 2 x 1080 ti's. At 4K resolution there isn't going to be much difference in framerates between Ryzen and an i7.

If you want something more extreme (More cores/threads) then look at AMD Thread Ripper.
