I've had the same problem today, did your steam platform get updated, mine did and I have the same problem sometimes it does it in 2 minutes other times I've had it running for hours with out a problem.

GO FIGURE

Oh and cs never remembers my favourites any more :(

There is an irritating problem with CS Source and this infinite sound loop crash, because it's happened to me loads of time. I'm starting to think, this is all down to Steam. I'll be playing for hours on it and then the crash would hit and there's nothing you can do apart from hitting reboot.

Welp... i aint got BSOD problems, but im back to having stupid amounts of choke and crap framerates.

*Uninstalls the garbage*

Had the game since release, never had a problem with it yet that wasn't something wrong with either my set-up or something i had done that messed it up.

It is not garbage.

IMHO it is garbage, evertime they "fix" somethin they break another half a dozen things.

Im tired of having to tweak my rates and junk just to get it to sorta work right, just to have it messed up again 3 days later by another useless update. If they worked on actually making the game playable without bugs and laggy hitboxes instead of making stupid maps that drop your frames down to 20 in a firefight it wouldnt be half bad, but they dont.

Neither the game nor the community are worth the effort for me anymore.

Go play on a console then

I used to get allsorts of sound loop/crashing etc when I used to use an audigy with source. Got a different setup, all better now, infact come to think of it I had quite a few probs with that audigy...

sounds hardware related, possibly ram issues, overheating etc. i believe there are or have been troubles with some audigy cards in the past(although mines been fine). Try using your onboard sound for a while and see if that makes any difference.

After changing to dual core my pc has been having the same probs, but it only seems to happen playing HDR maps which is rather odd...
