yup it might be warmer, larger, and getting a bit long in the toof, some might say like the wifey,

However for £10 you get more memory and more performance overall.

again a bit like the wife, good value for money and always dependable of an evening, but maybe not as sexy as the new hardware - lol

best comparison ever

My recent rotation of gfx cards has been :-

8800 Ultra, X1950, 2900pro, then XT, 3870, then finally a 8800gtx.

<snip>

Will the next person stand up! :o

7950GT --> 8800 GTS 640 --> 2nd GTS 640 --> 8800 GTS 512mb

SLI is a waste of time, effort and money. Wish I had never bothered.

I am however looking forward to getting the GTS and clocking it, more so for the reasons Sm00gel stated over the GTX. :)

The new GTS might get a high overclock to run 3dmark a few times. Try and play UT3 or Crysis for a few hours(even 30mins) at those speeds and see what happens lol.

Don't see what the problem would be with adequate airflow over the top matey.

So are your overclocks stable enough to run games for 30 mins+, or just 3dmark200* as per your sig? ;)
