true I could have gone for a slightly smaller psu but I was thinking long term and if the client of the op required an add in card at any time there should be enough power still. It may still be a bit overkill though
The current ratings on the individual rails, and the number of rails are the important specs to look for. The power rating of the PSU is still the best indicator of its performance.
This gives a good indication of the power required, people are often surprised how little power their rig needs compared to what they've been led to believe:
not sure i'd bother clocking it yet, especially as its for a customer, any issues then you'll need to rule out the overclock first, if they complain of it being slow in the future then maybe think about it.
