at those prices! I've never paid more than £100 on 225 40 r18 and I've been through F1s, toyos and falken 452s. Couldn't get F1s that cheap any more, but the others shouldn't be too tough.
I have those Dunlop tyres on the MPS (Come as standard. 225/40/R18). Been on the car for about 4k miles now and during that time I've not had any problem with them. So they would be my choice from that list. They don't like the snow much, but then again, they are a high performance summer tyre so that's a given.
I'd still be tempted with the Eagles personally but if you want to keep the same tyres all round then I see no reason why you cant buy the cheaper Contis? The £152 ones are 95W, rated for 168mph. So completely fine.
I have F1 Asymetrics on my Mondeo Mk4 Titanium X with the same size wheels. I find they have lasted an exceedingly long time (mainly motorway and did rotate once but one pair have been on for 25k and still ~4mm left) but I've always thought they're a little on the noisy side. Perhaps this is down to the wheel size/tyre profile. I have read it is a better ride on the 17" wheels.
