I get it free with my work and have now decided if I didn't get it free then I'd probably take pay for it. On the few times I've needed it, it has been worth it. For any issue you just ask your GP for a referral and get seen immediately. Also on several occasions the GP has been wrong so it was worth seeing the consultant for a second opinion.

I also get it as a work benefit but so far have not used it. From what I hear, even for minor ops the level of comfort and "service" is worth it over standard NHS.

All my family apart from my older sister have had private hospital treatment it's worth it. The price is nominal compared to the care and treatment you recieve.

My parents paid for it for our family for years, and only used it a couple of times; my brother and I being born, and a 2 minor ops. That was it as far as I know. The hospitals I saw were certainly very nice, and the waiting times very short, doctors/nurses seem to have far more time to spend chatting with patients etc. However whether it was worth the money they forked out to cover 4 people over a period of 20years i'm not so sure.

My whole family is on Bupa and it really is fantastic service. I've been for physio work and they are amazing.

I get BUPA free at work, I've never used it though.... I had to go for some injections for my impending holiday today and paid for them myself. Would they have done them free for me?

Unlikely, if you choose to go on holiday private medical insurance generally wouldn't pay for any injections needed for that as it was your decision to go.

Get it through work, haven't had the need to use it yet. In fact I don't really know how it works :p

get ppp/bupa through work, now we have it if i went to a job without it i would pay for it.

much much faster and seemingly more professional than NHS.
