Try using some high ports, in utorrent I use above the 10000 range, works well for me with very fast speeds.

Changing port isn't really going to help, but enabling encryption at least eliminates foul play on Nildram's part - if your speeds improve when you enable it, you know what's slowing down your torrents.

Nildram claim they don't traffic shape at all, but with their further intergration with Pipex I can't see that being the case for ever, especially with Nildram's generous FAP already.

What router are you using mate? and what type of account are you on? I did try messing with my firewall once - things just got worse, I find with no firewall settings and no u-torrent settings changed torrents work great. I need special settings for eMule though

Nildram don't shape anything. The problem is your end or with the tracker you're using. I can get 750KB/sec very easily on a well seeded torrent and that is without any of that mangle-fangled encryption stuff.

I'm on Nildram and have no problem with Torrents or Emule.

http://www.portforward.com has lots of good info on how to configure routers for use with P2P.

I use to have netgear dg834 and other netgear product but find with B.T and TFTP or FTP programs they seem to fall over aftter bit

Not at first mind just latter on dont ask one life mystry

I my self have cisco router at home but thats just becuase iv brought a few for my company

but my friend use linksys and never had a problem with B.T since he changed from netgear and he had the same problem as I did

all fine here also , i have the DG834G also with Nildram, ushally get 600kbps with fileplanet , dont p2p much these days but never had a problem before
didnt even change anything on the router all default settings
