No, you don't need to install any drivers for the Raptor itself.

My raptor is the 16mb version, dont know about yours. Is you pagefile on your raptor ? It seems as though there is a constant call on your hard drive at regular interval , like an antivirus program or something.

Do you mean the windows pagefile? yes thats in its normal position. I also noticed this accessing thing to, I have OO defrag installed and Kaspersky anti virus, wonder if its these?

The pagefile on the raptor was driving me crazy. Moved it to the samsung and irritation gone.

I just shifted my Page file to my other sata maxtor drive but I still see this..

This is the 32mb zones test by the way, and I killed all tasks like oodefrag in taskman too.

At least your seek times are low. Thats probably the most important for day to day use anyway.

Yeah thats good. I will have a play around disabling various things to see if it stops accesing, can amyone reccomend any progs that show the disk being accesed? other than hdtach?

Brilliant that little programs log tells me its Kaspersky constantly checking my drive. Must be an option to stop this, unless I disable it during games. Thanks for the help.

I have 2 x 74GB Raptors, FLA2 firmware, I get an Average read of 65.1MB/s, Random access of 7.6ms, Burst speed of 130MB/s, on ICH5R con, so you last HDTach is about right or not far off.

The troughs are caused by HDD activity, which probably will be your Kaspersky.
