i made the same mistake with a microkorg. all that seems to ever happen is we come in from a night out then make completley random "noise" for an hour or so :/

soon as exams are over ill be looking into doing "proper" stuff so ill keep an eye on this thread
 
I found that Reason (software synth), although not a true analogue synth, allows better composition.

Does it have a MIDI interface?
 
Plug it into your PC and use a sequencer else it will be a long hard slog to make a track.

I use VST's and Renoise to make all my tracks now. Long gone are the days of programming my MC303.....shudder
