Any advice on securing networks/internet/etc just go to rz30. His knowledge in these areas is unprecedented :D

I make up nonsense words and a number or two for my passwords, so they are completely unguessable and non-susceptible to dictionary attacks.

Also I have all unnecessary ports closed on the router, WAN ping disabled and Windows Firewall active along with NOD32 for viruses.

Steganography for the win.

I protect my many selfs from the internet by having passwords consisting of unrelated works with numbers and case variations. For example:

bob5Paceship2001sn0wd0n*

Easy to remember and almost impossible to guess and extremely difficult to brute force attack.

Use variations with the site name in so bob5Paceship2001sn0wd0nOCUK* could be your password for this site.

No need for long winded encryption routines or keeping passwords stored some place (also not secure or cumbersome if encrypted)
