The original is the best by far - the two add-on's add some different units and modes but the vanilla is the business!

Surprised that this hasnt been on the Steam deals so far!!!

OF is worth it for the new units in MP... i mean people can say things are OP and what not, but if you play for fun its nice to see some different units on the battlefield and the different tactics people employ.

Casual games are the best imo for fun ... ranked games can be fun but a lot of people run the same tactics and in the end its a predictable game.
 
You may yet get lucky but these games have been on sale soooooo many times over the last year it's hard to think who wouldn't have a copy - present company seemingly excluded!
 
Is the Soviet mod stable now?

I had an older version and it was mad some of the battles, but it seemed to bottom out just as things heated up... ie on the Stalingrad map iirc... I was the Russians with 2 AI Expert Russians, vs 3 Expert Germans AI

Would be having an incredile pitched battle with infantry dieing everywhere... im talking 1000s the length of the game was playing.. then it would just crash. I think I finished 1 game before some file died.

Shame.
 
As above, but it lacks two armies and extra vehicles that expansions brought...oh and it is still in beta.
