Saw it this evening. Excellent film. I felt extremely queasy during the amputation scene though. I mean, light headed, ringing in my ears, hot and clammy queasy.

It's very realistic.

Read about it when it happened and it's a great story. I just don't know how they've made a film out of it though... I'll wait for the BluRay.

Trailers I've seen have looked like it will be worth a watch. Hopefully get to see it sometime over the weekend.

Don't.

Just got back from seeing it. Very intense, especially the amputation scene - I'm fairly familiar (:p) with breaking bones etc, and found myself gripping my girlfriend's leg very tightly - extremely realistic. Overall, as has been said - not Boyle's best work, but not far off either.

Recommended :)

Another impressed and shell-shocked cinema goer here. Very gripping throughout. Not the sort of story you'd expect to contain a mix of humour, drama, tension and unmissable revulsion - seeing as it's essentially a man trapped in a hole for 1.5 hours - but it does entertain and hold one's attention. Definitely worth a watch!

8/10

Found it very boring, the "gruesome" bits really aren't much to harp on about if you've seen some of the things the internet has to offer. Considering I really enjoyed Buried I expected to like this after reading such positive reviews as it's the same sort of thing.

3/10 from me.

3/10 is a ridiculously harsh verdict. It's a good film but IMO not Danny Boyle's best.

For me, Trainspotting and Slumdog are superior productions.

I do like Mr Franco who's the playing the armless dude in this.

Really enjoying the opening music / shots :)

tut tut!

I really hope you're not posting in the cinema :p People who use their phones during films deserve a bazooka shot to the face.

Nah wouldn't break the wittertainment code of cinema coduct (that's for anyone that listens to Mark and Simon on the BBC) ;)

I'm sat at home :)

I have to say I really enjoyed that.

Not his best work, but it's well shot and the sound / atmosphere is very well done. It's alright :)
