NEVER lose a squad, its much cheaper and quicker to replenish a squad than build a new one, also squads gain vet as they fight and if you lose a squad you lose all of their vet status, you need to be controlling the fuel in the early game, wehrmacht players will lock down areas with mgs in buildings so use a sniper to take these out, you want to be getting an m8 greyhound out as soon as possible, the earlier this comes the more shock factor it has on the battlefield, once your enemy fields a pak this becomes invalid so you have to use your m8 to its maximum and take most of the map while you can.
With map control you can push out heavy armours and not let your enemy get back in the game. Infantry commander is the best all around solution, defensive operations means your rifleman can place mines, use them to place these EVERYWHERE, all over the roads and on high value fuel positions, use engineers with flame-throwers to combat aggressive troop blobs, watch out for panzershreck squads, your m8 cant stand up to these so ideally you want infantry to compliment your armour.
Basically allies strength is within the first 5 mins of a match, if you control the fuel and cut him off you wont have to worry about his armour later on in the game (which is why fielding an AT gun early should only be done when you do not have control) but if you play smart early on then rush for that greyhound, use it to smash the mgs and chase down troops.
Finally remember that strategic points hold no real value early on other than to connect sectors, you want to be capping resources early on so long as they are linked to your territory.
edit: and don't watch too many replays now, the final patch comes out on Tuesday which will balance the game for the last time, tactics will no doubt change a lot once people get used to the changes so hold off on investing in too many obsolete strats.
always be aggressive, don't invest in lots of any one thing, if you find yourself waiting for something to happen than your probably losing the match.
