You playing the Eastern Front mod?

Im not sure what compares to that, but the better German tanks are Vetted Tigers or the King... not sure how the Russians are rated though. The other thing is getting vetted grens in with shreks.. they can rip things to pieces, even if you have say 2 squads of them backing up a Tiger you will be setup nicely for tank skirmishes.... its a case of having 'mini squads' that can deal with all outcomes.... that will help.

As for allies.. i suppose its the Pershing for USA and something like a Churchill or Sherman cant remember what its caleld for UK.
 
Some good tips here. Due to the way the game is set out you DO NOT want to try and upgrade EVERYTHING instead choose a tactic (gamereplays) upgrade for the that specific tactic ie anti infantry or go for anti vehicle etc. CoH can be pretty punishing for a newbie
 
I found playing the game with friends was most useful. Discussing the game afterwards and what people noticed means more heads, so more tactics, which you can either use, or learn to counter, and you will learn what stuff does what more quickly.

I really liked this game but could never get passed one of the missions. One where you had to stop a tank company or something. Just got battered every time and lost interest.

Multiplayer is where its at with this game :D - I dont think I've played more than 5 minutes on the single player!
 
Not sure about steam users, but this is what is says on their website -

We will be releasing the patch on Tuesday, May 24, after a brief maintenance window. The maintenance window is scheduled to last from 09:00 – 10:00 PST, which is 12 noon – 13:00 EST and 16:00 – 17:00 GMT, after which players will be prompted to update to the new patch when they log in to the game.

So we can download it after 17:00GMT but again, not sure about steam.
 
Ive been playing Company of Heroes multiplayer since it came out, there really isnt anything thats gripped me so much as CoH. Been looking forward to this patch for a long time now, fixes so many exploits and bugs with the game finally Roo's have been nerfed its happy days :D

Just need to wait for steam to throw out the update, hopefully it will be soon.
 
So you can patch through retail copies. Steam does not have it yet and from reading gamereplays.org patches on steam will come several days later. Half tempted to install my retail copies instead of waiting for steam.

the roo hasnt been nerfed at all the cost has just gone up the same people will still win by rushing to roo brits float a lot of fuel
 
Time to re-install CoH and remind myself why I didn't play it much in the first place :D

I'll hopefully stick with it this time, more than a few missions in.

At least i would but the steam servers are too busy apparently :confused:
