If you use data it resets the "inactive" flag. The inactive flag takes a long time to show up (something like 12 months), has it been an issue before?

Vodafone had one of these for a short while a year or so back before realising it wasn't a very profitable way to go! Sold with the k3565 modem, £15 topup for each 1GB of data with no credit expiry - however, the SIM will be deactivated if the dongle is unused for several months.

People have caught on to the fact these are rare, so they fetch pretty good prices on eBay. If you managed to find a boxed one, it will have a red circular label '£15 top up only' and 'Top Up and Go Mobile Broadband - 1GB' on the box (red gradient with white stripes).

Note that the K3565 modem was also sold with a 30-day expiring credit, so watch out.

I've got one of those, only have to use it every 6 months to keep it active.Bought it several years ago(2009 i think) while on holiday up north.Still on the original £15 :D

Ah, you mean non expiring allowance. They don't exist afaik because it's so bad for business to do this I'm afraid.

I use a T-Mobile PAYG SIM with a £20 six month data top up.

Doesn't seem to expire as long as I top up each six month :)

Sounds good! Is that a mobile broadband sim or one intended for phones, and how much data do you get for the £20?

It's a phone SIM (but I use it in my iPad), from what I remember it's either 500MB or 1GB a month.

Every six month I pop it in a phone, make a call then top up the data
