It's still FWD but fitted with a Gripper LSD, on semi slicks/slicks its not really an issue on fast circuits

It damp conditions  :D

Yeah in dry on circuit will be fine, especially circuits that are flowing where it is mainly 3rd gear upwards.

Yeah in the damp, best to park it! :D

Love this.
Very envious.
It will be really rewarding to know you lovingle made/assembled everything so the whole car was "right"...... Then proceeded to thrash the boondocks out of it.

If it's half as much fun as it looks, you'll have a great time piloting it.

Excellent thread/car/project!

Polish up the engine and paint the top block the same colour blue as the hoses... that'll set the engine bay off nicely!

Weighs in at 925kg

Wow that's an awesome power:weight there!

I could actually pick up the car if I needed to! :D

Brilliant build - look forward to seeing it on video.

That torque curve looks like a handful! :p

How's the lag on it?

Would love to do this one day. Constantly eyeing up Mk6 Fiesta ST to get a track car built...

Very similar power to weight we used to run in the Corrado. It will be quick :D but was also a nightmare in wet conditions.

What ECU are you running? Can it run multiple maps? We ran Emerald K6 with multiple maps for wet use. Mostly to control torque but also use gear based boost settings. Can really help in the wet but I feel your pain, high power FWD with limited opportunity to adjust for wet conditions can be pretty scary.

No joke, but we found Uniroyal Rainsports better than any 1B/1C tyre when it's properly wet and Kumho V70 in medium with fresh tread best when just "damp".

Good luck, fun project!
