Anyway, who's to say these rebels are any better? All the big bosses are ex-Gadaffi, and whats to say they don't just want to replace Gadaffi and do exactly the same thing all over again?

But obviously, Lives are cheaper than oil, that's all that matters.

They ain't got anything we want.

Yep.

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, introducing the resolution, said: "In Libya, for a number of weeks the people's will has been shot down... by Colonel Gaddafi who is attacking his own people.

"We cannot let these warmongers do this, we cannot abandon civilians."
So, why are we not doing the same for the Ivory Coast? Or Egypt? Or Tunisia? Saudi? Bahrain?

Well, to be fair we did in Kosovo and Sierra Leone, and they didn't seem to have anything we needed.

So why those two places, Libya, and not the others ?

Dunno.

I'd sooner we went to none of them.

Seems like there the view from many here that if you can't help everyone, you should help no-one at all. Not sure I can agree with that regardless of my view on the current situation.

So we’re going to shoot down a few of his aircraft and threaten to blow his forces to kingdom come if he moves towards Benghazi. Given that it has a million inhabitants it’s probably the best way of preventing a bloodbath.

How is this going to make any difference now? Its going to be all over before anything is in place to happen and even then I don't see how a no fly zone is going to make any difference to the final outcome.

Just opening up a huge load of trouble.
