A good starter harmonica is something like a Hohner Marine Band. They come in different keys, but I'd get a 'C' to learn on.

You'll be looking at around £20.

If you want to learn blues harmonica then you need to start calling it a HARP.
You will also need a diatonic harp if you're going to play blues but you can do it on a chromatic harp (chromatic has a push button on the side so you can get at the black notes).
Virtually all the blues songs I've ever played have been in Em.
