I have an SSD which is not my boot drive and two 1TB storage drives that are nearing capacity.

One of them was my old boot drive and I want to delete the old windows installation off it but it wont let me get some of the windows and program files data off it.

Is there any software I can use to delete these? I cant format the disk as I don't want to lose the data I have on it and have no means of backing it up yet.

Take ownership of the folders and delete them.

Google how to do this and use the MS link

Always a good idea to buy hard drives in pairs, one for your data the other for backup

Cheers for your help on this Bledd.

I have now managed to free up 30GB of space so that should last me a little longer now.
