hello good folks :D not sure if this is the right place

ok i placed an order for a new pc build yesterday 27 Jan,7:12 pm

i also paid £10 for dpd next day delivery

just wanted to know if dpd will deliver my parcel on a saturday because it aint coming today

also my dpd tracking number dosent work i get ''Your search did not find any matching tracking. Please refine your search criteria.''

If it was a build then I think most places have a note that it will take a day or two to actually build it.

The "next day" tends to be next day after dispatch.

They only build it if you bought one of their 'built' systems.

If you have just ordered the components then they will all come separately and ready for you to build :)

You should receive an email from OcUK when it your order despatched, and if you check on DPD's website the morning it is due, they should give you a one hour 'time slot' for the delivery.

Our local driver is very good at keeping to these, and apologized the other morning for being 30 seconds early... I kid you not! :D

Oh, and the DPD tracking number page will not display anything until after it has been checked in at the main 'hub', which is usually in the early hours of the day after despatch anyway.

thanks for the info :) cant wait to build the baby up it'll be my fist time

If that's the case, then you might find this thread of interest - LINK.

Even if the case is not the same, the general principles should help.

Just take your time, don't try and rush things, and double check everything!

Good Luck! :)

thanks for the link :) just checked my tracking and it says

Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub. what does this mean?

That means that it will proceed from there on to your local delivery depot overnight, where it will arrive in the early hours of the morning.

If tomorrow was a 'normal' (Mon-Fri) day, or you had paid extra for Saturday delivery, it would then be delivered to you tomorrow, but in this case it will be on Monday.

As I said before, if you check again on the DPD website at about 9 am, or possibly a bit (but not too much!) earlier on Monday, it should then say that your package is on the van for delivery, and give you a one hour time slot for its arrival.

That's what happened to me this morning anyway! :)
