Dell 2007wfp or Samsung 205bw?

I'm swayed towards the Samsung as it's cheaper and Dell doesn't feel very 'exclusive' due to having shed loads of Dell stuff at work.

Is there a good reason to buy the Dell over the Samsung?

They've got little in common apart from the size. The Samsung has a TN panel whereas the Dell is IPS. The major difference is the viewing angles which are much better on the Dell, but also stuff like colour reproduction since the IPS panel in the Dell is 24-bit 16.7 M colours, whereas the TN panel in the Samsung is 18-bit + dithering 16.2 M colour. Also the Dell has better connectivity (HDCP, s-video) plus picture-in-picture.

The Samsung is a little quicker though.

I'd say go for the dell, mainly because I have two but as said above it has a better panel (atleast I think it is anyway).

get the dell 2007wfp, just got one and its awesome

have a TN film panel 19" and the colours and viewing angles are horrible compared to this one.

Cool thanks all. Many people seem to rave over this monitor. I was worried about the banding issues which were cleared up with rev.2 but I take it OcUK supply the rev.2 model now? Dell direct don't seem to mention it either.

I take it you can hook up and xbox360 to these on composite too? How's the resolution work out etc?
