got a 2007wfp today and the button that you press when you want to raise the monitor up or down seems to be stuck and its permanently in the down position

anyone know how i can sort this it
is it bad enough to warrant an RMA

thanks

That button just releases the catch to seperate the monitor from the stand. You raise/lower the stand manually just by pushing the monitor up and down (without gripping the screen).

Mine (well my 2407, but same stand) got stuck like that when I first got it.

Make sure the monitor's pushed right the way down before pressing the button in.

@fish99 - The button you're thinking of is the round one on the monitor itself, there's another rectangular button on the the stand.

Ah yeah, you're quite right. That rectangular button doesn't do anything on my 2007WFP though. The monitor moves up and down just as easily whether you press it or not, and stays wherever you put it.

Hi, the botton is only there to release the lock when you've lowered it to its lowest postion. This lock is there so as it doesn't move whilst transporting it, as stated on the accompying cd manual...

I see. Just playing with mine and once the monitor is 'locked' at the bottom I have to press the top of the monitor down to be able to press in the button and then it releases ok.
