HI there

The DELL 24" is back in stock and at a very competitive price, remember when purchasing from OcUK you also get a 4yr DELL On-Site warranty service which should make OcUK the cheapest on the web for this stunning monitor. :)

Yep bought one of these when they were on special and its is seriously nice. Only thing which has cheesed me off is the price there now at :( Its now £40 cheaper than when it was on special!!!! Man I only bought it on special becuase i thought i was gonna shoot up to over £900 quid again grrrr. So if your considering getting this screen it is now at a stupidly low price compared to the dell site so go for it!!!

Worth getting this now or waiting for the 2407?

I have a feeling I may have to give this one a miss due to the CC already suffering :(

it is abit of catch 22 situation because the new model may not be such attractive price.I have had mine for week it plays games very well and watching movies is great.one word of warning you will take couple of hours to play around with settings :) but when it is set up right it is great

I've been waiting for the 2407, it is looking like the price may be higher than any benefits it may have over the 2405 though... HDCP may be something that you may definitely want, I'm going to wait for reviews of the 2407. 2405 prices can only come down there may be a few on the MM, who knows... If the price isn't to extortinate I'll most likely go for the 2407...

2007 im waiting for , for the HDCP , no point me up grading from my trustdy IIyama prolite e431s only to change agin in a copple of months

^^^ Has this happened?

Nope DELL are still refusing to sell to Etailors for most of the time.....

They have decided to sell too OcUK because they can trust us not to go too silly with the pricing as a manufacturer hates nothing more than their products been de-valued. So for now were offering DELL again, but I would not put too much hope in them offering the new models too us as they will want to get all the business for themselves and hence make lots of money.

Ah ok. But damn, that's going to suck not getting any of the new models in. Was the new(ish) 30" a special case then because its their first 30" or it was released before Dell introduced the new rules?

We can get the 30" no problem. :)

The price shoots up to £900 whenever DELL are offering a "buy one, get a second half price" deal; so you have to buy two of them to get them at the same price as they are when the deal isn't on

Quick question (Badass should know I hope ;))

The differences between this 2405 & the new 2407 are:

Changed Bezel/stand
Lighter
HDCP implementation

is that all?

yep, and as said above the response time is now 6ms G2G as opposed to 12ms G2G on the 2405FPW. Rest of the spec remains unchanged

so there is no real point in the offer as it will still cost you £1200 to buy two of them even when the offer isnt on
