Dell 2407 problem

Hi guys

I have a 2407 monitor and I have noticed a blue line flickering across the screen every now and then.... and then the screen seems to have lots of little blue dots about.. Its only been happening in the last week. Could it be due to the heat? The monitors not been on long, but the room is very warm.
Anyone else had same problem? Or it could be the graphics card I guess? maybe thats getting too hot? I have checked cables.

PrtScr > paste into Paint/PS. If the dots show up in the SS then its your Gfx card, if they don't it's the monitor.

its only next working day for a refurbished model.... would rather find out if its fixable first before opting for that.
