If its £800 thats pretty reasonable for a new 24" screen ( especially if you consider the 2405 is about the same price or more depending on where you go) but as stated above if there is a "UK price" much different from this it will start looking less of a deal imo - I love my 2005fpw but its already feeling too small ( after about 2 months) and I am missing the componant input especially

OMG we have become so used to being ripped off as a nation ?.
I think that price is shocking !! (+ add some more for the UK ) :o

And its just a garnished 2405....

You are right mate in general it IS a rip off -- but initial pricing is always high until stock levels have risen ( and initial interest has died down to dull murmer) then it comes down to more reasonable level for the rest of us

£300 for a decent 20" w/s and approx £600 or so for 24" version is much more resonable, but we will have to wait a few months after release for those figures

That is a beauty, the 30" is a bit big and doesn't have any inputs, the current 24" has the inputs but no HDCP and doesn't look as nice. I think this monitor hits the sweet spot.

If the specs are true and it isn't that expensive it will be good.

If it costs £800 it is tempting to go the whole way and get the 30", it can be had for just over £1000. £700 is more reasonable. But then I guess the 30" is supposed to be £1300.

The 30" only has a dvi input though, which immediately discounts it in my book - its responce time is also below par for the cost now adays.

Its also too big for a desktop monitor also, I know it would kill my eyes anyway!!!

Yes, this thing is my next purchase, any estimates on when it will be out. Only 1 week to go until payday!

I really do think it is the perfect monitor, the only way it could be better is if it was cheaper, had a HDMI input and if I could buy 2 of them. :D

EDIT: However there is something slightly worrying, does anyone see any mention of HDCP on the US spec sheet?

Looks like a great monitor going by the spec (assuming it does do HDCP over DVI). Just wondering if the HDCP enabled graphics cards will have HDMI connectors or DVI? I guess we could just use a converter but don't know how much these cost.

According to another popular forum, it does mention HDCP but only in relation to DVD Players, But I guess this is good enough.
