ah, poorly set up gamma and colours can be common on W-CCFL panels for what I've experienced, sadly. If you calibrated it you may help improve things, certainly on the gamma and brightness front. Worth a try with software at least. with a colorimeter, you could prob adjust all that nicely too:

I tried adjusting settings in Nvidia control panel, pushing the gamma there helped but wasn't able to bring shadow detail back. There seems to be some weird quantization happening in the monitor.

Fortunately I'm running dual display so I can contine the photo work on my trusty Sony displays. I'll have another go tomorrow, but it's not looking good.

Received my A00 2407 HC this morning. NO dead pixels/stuck pixels (although the retailer would replace it there were!) and no ghosting, uniform blacks all around the screen! Loving the 1080p detail from the PS3.

I would be willing to bet that every single A00 has ghosting issues you just cant see them.

I returned mine for a refund.

What do you mean exactly?

Your saying people would not notice the ghosting thats shown on some of the youtube videos? I very much much doubt they could miss it if it was happening on their monitor! Im not getting anything like that on my HC and tbh, its annoying when people say oh well, your probably just not noticing it when I've run the same scenarios as some of those videos and got no ghosting whatsoever.

What do you mean exactly?

I think he means that some people are more attuned or perceptive of these ghosting visuals and that perhaps some people are more tolerant of the aberrations and artefacts. Simply put, some people can't see the ghosting!
