Hi all.
Friday evening my Dell U2715H developed a stuck red pixel just left of center of the screen.
Being where it is its very noticeable and i also noticed that the BLB was seemingly getting worse. I sent a message to Tech support here at OCUK (my monitor is 2months old) and credit to Bailey who answered early Sat Morning..but he told me its not a fault as it conforms to iso standard?? I expected this TBH and he did say sorry if this causes a problem..well yes it does ive a bright red stuck pixel in the middle of my screen..when i mentioned about the BLB being noticeable in a dark and even a light room i was told.."Is the monitor you ordered a IPS Screen, if so the BLB is called IPS glow and it is normal on this type of panel"...now i dont know if this is right?? any advice on this would be appreciated..But my question is "How do you know how bad it is" OCUK havent asked for any evidence ,photos anything to see the level of BLB "IPS glow" or whatever its called it feels to me like they sold me a monitor and basically there you go..ive had plenty of items from OC,all have been superb but on this issue im really cheesed off.

Now onto DELL..1 word so far awesome

Sent them my 1st email after seeing the tech message from Bailey
They work Mon-Fri 9-5..and 9.30 Monday morning received a reply asking me some straight forward questions.AND some pictures of the monitor..i sent 4 pictures and that was enough. All in all ive sent and received 3 emails from DELL all within a day an half, and Tomorrow i get my replacement monitor all tracked by UPS..so from Monday morning until Wednesday with Dell..ive gone from having a monitor with a red stuck pixel and BLB to hopefully (fingers crossed) a replacement monitor with no issues.Im not over the line yet,the replacement monitor may be worse but...Dell have been superb in everyway possible so far. A massive mention (because he deserves it) is to the person thats dealt with my issue from minute one is Titus Mathews from DELL..he,s been awesome..i dont know if you ever visit this forum but if you do Titus..thanks pal.

So i can only add my 2p worth..Dell have (at least to me) proved that there a great company to purchase Monitors from..do us a 27" + Freesync monitor Dell ..and id be all over it .

Final word to OCUK....OCUK if any of you guys read this maybe Bailey..how come you cant offer this support? the monitor was bought just over 2 months ago i paid good money for it why do I have to chase it up with Dell? Why not ask for pictures of my monitor to see how bad it is and deal with me? ( i live less than 2 miles away) from your store im not mad with OCUK..just a bit peeved i just hope somebody can answer my questions. Thanks

Il update my findings with my replacement monitor when i receive it..many thanks for taking the time to read my post all

After reading your post I'm really keen going for DELL monitors as many people have positive feedback regarding their customer support.

I own a BenQ at the moment and its been flawless ever since I brought it and their customer support is meant to be decent too.

By the sounds of it I should stick with DELL and BenQ, as Acer and Asus are said to be terrible. There has been a post earlier regarding Acer and their terrible support. You should give it a read.

Ay up Sreeve..im glad your Benq has been flawless mate, yep ive read about Acer what a horror story, and posted my big post over there.Like i said im not over the line yet ..BUT by my findings so far in Dell even if the one i get tomorrow is garbage i know within a few emails id receive another unit,The lad who dealt with me has been superb.

I've had my BenQ for 4 years now and it cost me £100, its the BenQ G2222HDL model so its getting on a bit now.

It seems that all this fancy, high end, pricey technology is just useless. Seems like the cheaper stuff just lasts forever haha. All this fancy tech stuffed into a monitor seems like it can't handle it!

I really want a new monitor as I've seen how 144hz plays and its remarkable!

I have a pair of those Dell screens on my desk at work, they are lovely and make my panel at home seem old and tired in comparison, I want a 1440p 144hz screen though, wonder if Dell will ever bring one to market? All our hardware at work is Dell and while we use Dell business their CS is great, next day site repairs etc, my only gripe with Dell is their Dell Premier websife is horrendous, it's slow and often errors.

But other than that I can't fault them, glad to hear they got you sorted

The reason for the Dell price premium is the fantastic warranty and build quality :) I've bought a total of 7 Dell screens to date, and not a single one of them has had a problem, ever. My main monitor is a 1200p 24" bought in 2008 and it's still perfect.

All honesty, I'm considering forking out a grand for their 30" model from 2014, because the panel lottery is hardly a thing, and even if you somehow roll a bad one, Dell have a zero-dead-pixel guarantee and an on-site swap policy.

Just a quick update my monitor arrived an hour ago, set it up and....
It's perfect,no dead/stuck pixels..very minimal (hardly noticeable) IPS glow.
My faulty monitor gets picked up by UPS tomorrow,it's honestly been hassle free.
I cannot fault DELL in anyway shape or form regarding their customer service.
Brilliant service from them.its my very 1st Dell monitor...it certainly won't be my last.

I have used 2 x Dell U3011 for around 10 hours a day from about the time they were released and haven't a clue how good Dell's service is as both monitors are still perfect :)

But sometimes I wish they would die so I can justify buying 2 x UP3216Q
