dell dimension hell gate

ok ,im round my mates, and this peice of nightmare has set his ram mhz to 553 lol. its XMS2 corsair 6400C4, and i cant even see the timeings lol

anyone got a decent prog that i can use to set both, as bios is about as useful as a dead goats ball sack.

is it an AMD processor? because if it is, the only mem speeds availible are the processors mhz divided by whole numbers, and dell probably locked the "divider" to what is best for the stock ram.

no, its a pen 4 @ 3.6. but i cant seem to do anything in the bios, cant even change fsb. nor volts, nothing. admin passwords have been unlocked and all access granted.

The BIOS on an oem machine is often very basic. It's no surprise that there are no options to change ram timings etc.
