Dell P2415Q

Would be nice if they did this is the Monitor I think I'm going to get. No 1440P IPS monitors at 24 inch out yet should work well at 1440P for Gaming with a GTX 980. Maybe 4K Gaming in some low end games.

Somewhat out of the blue, my P2415Q arrived today. I've only been using it for a few hours this afternoon, but so far I am deeply impressed. Windows 8.1 DPI scaling isn't perfect, but it's working quite nicely for me, and gaming is incredible. I am amazed at how good Skyrim looks at 3840 * 2160, even with the settings scaled back to enable my single GTX 970 to maintain an acceptable frame rate. Dishonoured looks wonderful, too. Hopefully the GTX 970 will hold up to the other games I have lined up :)

I'm currently reviewing this monitor (and using a single GTX 970). It can do a surprisingly decent job if you're prepared to scale back a few settings and tone down or disable the AA. :)

Can you comment on input lag please and check response times on various colour backgrounds with different overdrive settings here

Many thanks. Does it come pre calibrated with a report document?

It does come pre-calibrated with a report document, though I have to confess, I didn't look at it. Unfortunately I don't know anything about testing for input lag and response times, so I don't understand how to use the site you linked to - PCM2 will probably be able to provide a much greater insight.

For my part, I have not noticed any problems, but all I have to compare it to are the Dell U2212HM it replaced, and the ancient Hazro HZ30W I use with my other PC. Sorry for the vague, subjective responses, I suspect that they will not be of much use to you :|

No problem. Thanks for replying back anyway.

Just FYI, total input lag is just under 12ms according to my testing. This includes an element of pixel response time and indicates quite a low signal delay. The pixel responsiveness is actually better and more consistent than on the 28" TN panels as well. It isn't hampered by some noticeably sluggish transitions in the same way. Overall I feel this is a good choice for 4K gaming if you don't want a large screen.

Thanks a lot for letting me know. That sounds fantastic. I wanted a small 4k to use on certain games etc which i will move when needed to stand in front of my rog swift. As i am used to low lag and good response times from my 3 TN monitors i own at the moment this sounds a perfect match for my needs.
Thanks again for your reply, much appreciated.
