Hi all,
My friend has a Dell Precision 390 that he is looking to use for video editing. Does anyone know what graphics cards it will support?
It currently has a Quadro FX550 which does not seem to be capable of playing HD videos.
I found this factsheet on the 390 which says that:
"Graphics: Support for PCI Express x16 graphics cards up to 150 watts and with up to 512MB graphics memory"
Can anyone suggest a decent, cheap card that meets the above?
Also I didn't realise that motherboards could limit the amount of graphics memory they could support. Is that a real thing or is it just dell being irritating?
Any help would be great.
