Dell S2716DG dead pixel - returns policy?

I've had the monitor about 2 weeks now and have recently noticed a pixel that is stuck on.

After having a quick browse of the Dell support page they clearly state that 1-5 dead pixels is the industry standard; that may well be, but it's annoying and not what I'd expect after paying £500 for a display.

Has anybody had any experience with similar issues and a possible resolution, before I contact them directly? I purchased the monitor through Amazon.

i had a green one that came on now and again but a little tap on it with your finger gets rid of it.....not seen it for ages but now and again it comes on usually after a driver update or when playing a new game. It has done it since new but I did not send it back because it was not on all the time and i did not know if i sent it back they would see it...so i was stuck with it...but like I saaid I have not seen it for a good few months now.

I didn't even know you could do that. I've just pressed it with my finger and it's working...

It's a disgrace that such an expensive monitor comes under 6+ bright, when their lesser laptop screens will be fixed with 3+

Yea...i think its known as a stuck pixel rather than a dead pixel...so giving it a couple of taps (not to hard!) un-sticks it
