Interesting resolution. Not sure I could deal with 16:9 again even though its larger.

oh yeah, and the price :s

What does

(Premium Panel Guarantee)

mean?

In general, to return a panel due to problems with stuck or dead pixels, you have to have 6 or more stuck or 6 or more dead pixels.

The premium panel guarantee means that if you have a single stuck pixel (A sub-pixel remains permanently lit, resulting in a white or colored dot on a Black background), you may send it back and they will replace the panel.

It should be very nice, but:

  • I'm worried about the yellow or green/pink tint problem.
  • The price is really a bit (maybe a lot?) steep.
  • Dell hasn't shown very good customer support with the U2410 fiasco.

Also, I'm curious as to whether this display has as thick an anti-glare coating as that on the U2410 (which, by all accounts, is a bit too thick)...?

This is a great price for the uk market but I have a fundemental problem with Dell who only charge $1099 for this in the USA.

Not OCs fault but Dell are profiteering off us Brits.

how much % tax do americans pay on their purchases? do they get as much as 17.5% slapped ontop like us?

0.0-11.5% depending on the state and item purchased. Dell US also charge $69 for next day delivery.

Monitors with a HDMI port are also liable for additional duty on top of VAT in the UK. The manufacturers pay the bill but as you can guess it gets passed on straight to us and you.
