Dell XPS 1530 typing problem?

Have had my laptop since January and there seems to be this persistant problem with dropping letters when I'm typing.

Only seems to happen if I'm typing something into a web page (like OcUK Forum post or GMail message), haven't noticed it in Word.

Anybody got any ideas what's causing this? It's not me mistyping, was wondering if there was some sort of problem with the keyboard, but then thought it would have done that in Word as well.

I think i've noticed this happen on the few m1330's I have had. Seems very infrequent but spookily does appear to occur. Not sure what causes it however.

Ive only just had a 1530 and noticed something similar to this

i figured that it was being caused by me slightly hitting the touch pad when typing

since turning that off its been fine....might be something totally different but thought id mention it
