Good spec, looks like it was top of range whenever it was bought. But i'd like to know how its got warranty till 2013 since Dells max is 3 I think and the geforce 8 series definately werent in new dell laptops of 2010 :0

Yep, dell will sell longer warranty on some products. It's ok so long as they can get the spares - with the previous generation XPS the video cards were a problem and some people on the far end of their warranty ended up waiting up to six weeks for replacement cards. Some of which failed again - one I fitted lasted 48 hours. Dell tried to palm some of them off with slower video cards as replacements.

The 1730 is OK - didn't get too many problems. Occasional video problems - usually overheating but generally OK. Some AC adapter and power socket problems but not that common.
