Got some dell XPS on their way to work with 3070s inside.

Are dell still messing with cards these days with brackets and different coolers?

Or can I happily pop a 3070 out and... take it home for "testing"...?
 
Those new XPS are essentially the same as the new Alienware (just aesthetically different). Dell were talking about more 'standardised' parts, and then they go and fit a proprietary PSU like that. Will they ever learn!

I didn't buy them to do this, It was just that the second machine wont need the GPU grunt, so swapping in my GTX1080 and taking home the 3070 wont be an issue or noticed... ;x
 
technically your stealing property that's not yours, so refrain from doing that especially seeing as you just posted that you are hoping to be able to do this. unless you own the company then please don't steal!
