Demciflex filters, the amount of dust they stop getting into the pc.

I can't say that ive noticed any reduced air flow at all with the Demciflex filters, i have one on the front (210mm), one on the top of the exhaust which i don't use all of the time as i only put it on when the pc is not in use to stop dust getting in and the same on the rear exhaust.

My fans are 200mm cooler master megaflow on the front intake and top exhaust and a 140mm Phanteks for the rear exhaust, i also have a push pull Phanteks cooler with 2 x 140mm phanteks fans.

My temps seem the same both with our without the filters, i always idle at around 33 degrees, sometimes slightly less, my SSD hard drive idles at around 26 degrees and my GPU at 30 degrees.

Fan speeds on a fan controller are front 600rpm, top 600rpm, rear exhaust at 900rpm and that Phanteks 140mm fan certainly blows some warm air out.

Ive done stress temps but don't have them to hand at the min, again they are similar both with and without the filters.

You've just backed up why I use "cooler" fans in my cases.

I used FN053 (50.5cfm & 1.32mmH2O) for awhile. Apache Black is 57.5cfm & 2.64mmH2O (doubt either really are as good as spec). Not near as good as you would think from their specs.
My HDD's were 40-45c with them @850rpm as intakes. Now they are 30-38c with TY-140's @ 700rpm in same place with same filters (650rpm w/filters removed). I could hear Akasa's but not TY-140's, even at 800-850rpm. 900rpm I "think" I might hear them, 950rpm they are just loud enough to know they are running.. Still quieter than water movement in heating radiators, ;)

Exactly what i thought and i intend to take it up with OCUK Akasa in the coming weeks.Thier fans specs are simply a lie and so is thier false claims about silence.Hell the box says something around 20 DB ish max which is just stupid really as on half RPM i would say they hit 30DB+ easily. The static pressure is also crap and they emit motor buzz too which is driving me insane.

I reckon i will be getting a full refund from OCUK on 5 apaches and hopefully they remove them from the store as they are simply awful. Also to the above poster with the 200m Megaflow fans i had them and thier pressure is not very good.Put one right up against a filter on the side panel and see how much air they move.I would imagine they are good fans for shifting air inside the case and as such that is what they do with the front fans as they tend to sit back a inch or so from the filter.

I just bought 1 Demciflex 120mm filter and WOW!! I'm very impressed with how much dust it's stops. I was so impressed I bought 2 more for my side fans:)

I have 2 120mm fans on the front as intake, but don't see a way on how to put 2 more Demciflex filters on the front because of the mesh? I take off the front panel where the fans are and there is no way to attach them? My case is CM Storm Scout 2.

Still awesome filters

Cheers to petey for letting me know about these filters;)

Nice one mate:D

Hmm CM storm looks perfect for custom cut filters to be fair. The top is perfect for a custom cut rectangle, two side 120mm square filters and for the front i would simply ask victor as demc to custom cut a filter to fit on the outside of the storm via the magnetic strips. If it was me i would have used usb drives and covered the whole damm front of the CM storm and put 120mm's up ion the drive bay as intakes too :)
