Demon 8Mbps auto upgrade - does it mean another 12 month contract?

Demon have recently notified existing customers of a free upgrade to 8Mbps - if they do nothing and get regraded does this mean another 12 month contract?

I have done so and am awaiting their reply. I thought someone on OcUK might have been a bit more helpful.

As far as I know it does mean a 12 month extension unless you contact them before your upgrade date and tell them you are going elsewhere.
