Got a a dent in my bootlid :( (it was there when i bought the car)

Best pic i have of it, sorry

As it has hit the fold in the metal, is it possible to repair it?

Most likely a bodyshop job.

But a dent removal guy might be able to do it, they can do some amazing things.

I know very little about dents, but I don't think that can just be pulled out - might need filler to finish off hte job, and a respray.

You might be able get it pulled out a bit so it looks a lot less obvious though, but it won't be perfect. Would however be a lot cheaper.

Needs knocking out, filling, spraying. :)

Yea Yea all very well but what about the car ;) :D

Body Shop job although you could take off the boot lid trim and see if you can push any of it out yourself, just be careful not to dent the boot anyworse

Look in Yellow Pages for "paintless dent remover" under car body repairs. Had a dent simular to yours, bloke came round took off a bit of trim & rubbed dent out with a little roller, can't see it at all. Cost £45! Quote for normal fill & respray was "about £200"

even if they remove the dent you will still see a crease , as its on a body line , also check if your boot is not double skimmed ,as if it is its hard/not possible to do.

I put a dent exactly there on my Pug 307 not as deep. Still wondering if i shoul get it fixed. Really stupid how i did it closing the boot with my back while holding 4 bottles of beer

holy thread revival batman!

if i take the inside paneling off, i can push the metal, so i think its just the one sheet (french cars, eh!)

i should probably call someone about it tbh

Get a large block of wood on the outside of the boot, get someone to hold it in place while you hit the inside with a rubber hammer.

Will push the dent out without pushing it out too far past the rest of the bodywork. :)
