dentist

Same here. My sister's partner had tooth issues and she was denied emergency dentist treatment. 2 agonizing weeks later she's admitted to A&E and ends up overnight on IV antibiotics and an emergency extraction.

Good system.

Not dentist related but similar.

Suffering from knee pain for a good 7 years been to phsyio twice seen the doctor and his partner multiple times, always told I don't need a scan.

Anyway knee has been in agony, can't sleep can hardly walk,so had a phone appointment.

Well all I received was, what can I do,you can't go for a scan blah blah, you do know about covid ? You are not an emergency, you will be wasting time.

I mean I should have told him that I have been busy making morgue slabs for the hospitals and it's impacting on my work.
But what do I know about covid doing the rounds,I'm not an NHS worker.

what is the deal on NHS dentists ?

Are even simplest of fillings amalgam/expoxy out, since they need some drilling to tidy up a cavity, and will create aerosol.

Had wondered if you can send in a photograph, so the dentist can appraise the site, too.

I had a normal check up the other day at my Dentist which also handles NHS patients, he fixed a chipped tooth with some composite there and then and it was still the band 1 charge of £22.70

The English are getting their NHS money for 2019/2020 during 2020/2021 assuming they manage to maintain a level of 20% the previous years output.
So they'll generally be happy to see you, fulfil their 20% and not kill themselves, which is good given current fallow time requirements.

My private dentist is operating as normal, I popped down for a check up and the usual scale and polish. 15 minutes later I'm £80 lighter, actually it was £92 as I had to pay £12 for PPE.

Im in the wrong line of work.
