Dentist's - Rip off

My local dentist turned private recently and its a complete joke. Normally like 30 quid for a checkup just for them to tell me my teeth are perfect as they have been for the past 19 years. Last checkup he took an xray because i had a slight 'fissure' which runs in my family, xray took no more than 2 minutes no joke. 50 quid for the pleasure. Then another hundred or so to go back for a small filling next week that is 'just to be on the safe side'

My dentist did some x-rays, my teeth looked perfectly healthy on the outside. Needed two fillings due to tooth decay. No idea what I paid but I was a student so it was a flat rate of something like £30 for it all.
