Deploying Win 8 in a 2008 R2 domain - GPO gurus

Hi all,

We will, at some point, be upgrading the DCs to 2012 / 2012 R2 but in the meantime, the powers that be want to showcase a Win 8.1 tablet.

Bearing in mind that there are GPOs that can be created in 2012 that don't exist within 2008R2, what is my best option to ensure that the Win8 tablet gets both our standard GPOs from 2008R2 and the ones tweaked from 2012?

I've created a testdomain 2012 server and joined the tablet to it for testing, so far.

If you can get a copy of the ADMX files from 2012, you should be able to import them into group policy in 2008 R2

Cool, and then that will deploy out using the 2008R2 DCs....easy TVM
