Is the show on C4 tonight at 9pm a repeat or not?

It's described as:-

'Series in which psychological illusionist and former magician Derren Brown demonstrates his unique powers around the world. Derren makes the sun disappear in the Valley of Fire, Nevada, and leaves Matt Lucas dumbfounded with a card trick at a gentleman's club in London.'

I can't recall seeing this before. Can someone please confirm whether it's a repeat or not?

Good news if it isn't a repeat. He's one of the few good things on TV nowadays.

A little bit disappointed with the first episode. The trick with Matt Lucas was the exception though. That was impressive! :confused:

My mate saw him Live during the week and he hammered a nail up his nose then asked a lady from the audience to remove it for him!

I just watched it (recorded it on the computer). It was good, not his best, but the psychic reading bit stood out as being brilliant.

Derren Brown is good at what he does

I had a nice long lecture with a guy called Marc Paul a few weeks back who uses very similar methods to Brown, albeit in a different type of presentation.

Learnt some very interesting techniques. Not my branch of magic though, I'm more a sleight of hand guy

Soon as he said 'don't show anyone else your reading' I said to the OH, 'they're all the same'.

I've been reading some of Derren's early books, and I've studied NLP in the past, so I'm starting to be able to read him :eek:

Only meaning I can see what he's doing, (he did explain it all at the live show, and I was amazed I hadn't seen what he was doing - it was so obvious when he pointed it out!!). Wouldn't stand a chance if it was me though, I'd be the most succeptible person he ever tried!
