So how does he do it? the questions thing, the floating table thing?
Come on OCUK clever people, enlighten me!

No idea the man is a genius!

The thing that threw me the most was when he went behind the board and he comes out as the gorilla - I still haven't figured that out :p

THe board was next to the curtain, he simply popped behind the curtain and another guy popped out at the same time. He then quickly threw on a gorilla costume and walked out.

At least, that's all i can think of.

People were distracted by the word 'Greedy' flashing on the screen, or reading what was written on the board, that they didn't notice the switch. Its the same with the gorilla taking the banana, your attention was somewhere else...

That table thing was very clever - only thing I could come up with was strong magnets under the stage......but I wouldn't believe me either!!

He does do the tricks very well - only annoying thing is that nervous (maybe?) tick he has of nodding his head twice every 10 minutes or so!!

The table was made of plastic and very light. Note how his hand never left either it, the 'cloth' or the little box on top :)

That's my take anyway. The questions... I suspect he looked at the answers in the interval. Otherwise why bother with the seat numbers on the cards?

One of the most disturbing things I have ever seen was done by Derren Brown. It was during the "Trick or Treat" series and he made a bloke, who'd chosen the "Trick" card, believe he was a ventriloquists dummy and just left him there thinking he was in a box, in empty theatre populated only by freaky mannequins in masks.

Then again, the one with the girl witnessing her own dead body in a car crash was pretty bizarre too.

It was all in the matter of like 5 or 10 seconds - it'd be impossible.

Read his book or buy one.

I read his Tricks of the Mind book, does he have another one out?

I remember the one he did years ago where he duped four people and eventually convinced them using his tricks and whatnot to rob a security man with a briefcase.

He set them up, and let them walk down the street towards the van. Three walked past without doing anything, but one person actually went ahead and "mugged" the guy.

Really interesting.

Nah, think about it, a few guys stood just off-stage holding the suit up, with the arms in the correct place etc ready for him to just 'walk' into it. Zipped up, done.

Not easy sure, but certainly doable.

the table thing, the audience confirmed it was heavy wood
and he was holding the cloth at one point, couldn't lift it even if it was very light

and this blindfolded guessing audience questions, unreal, they promise they're not actors, yet the stuff he guesses - star sign, dreams, jobs etc.......

I think he lies about not having stooges, too. He clearly demonstrated that he lies with the guy on the phone, almost as if he wanted to show the audience. With that in mind I bet the last person in the number thing was a stooge. He could stick as many 3-digit numbers on as he wanted to make it add up to 4608 or whatever the number was.

Hmm did they? Missed that. Perhaps there was something on the table to weigh it down? The cloth could have had wires down the corners or something like that.

Just watched it again on 4od (The gorilla part) and saw how he done it :p

The board is close to the curtain (like someone here said) and as he goes to lift the board, he dives behind the curtain, while someone else grabs the board, and he must get dressed in the gorilla outfit and come out :p

Very well done though!
