I think you're doing the right thing. 13 years in relationships is a long time, and you're getting things out of your system (literally it seems too :p).

It's fine saying you've been down because no-one's been round but that must be your choice, I'm sure you could have someone round, mates or a girl or whoever if you really wanted to.

You know things are getting bad when you're doing the 1000 posts per month thing - things are a bit different for me, the chances of me having a relationship, be it long term or just a casual thing are slim to none at the moment, and the odds of a meaningful long-term relationship will only slightly increase after everything's sorted out. Being lonely is just part and parcel of me.

I have friends that visit occasionally, but most of the time it's just me bouncing around on my own in this old house. I'm comfortable, more than comfortable with my own company, as you seem to be. The difference is if you really wanted to, you could go and make something happen. And when your time comes, you will :)
