No, because they'll be a walk way down the cliff side, or "The worlds largest elevator", which will obviously double up as a massive tourist attraction.

Or simply make the track between the pit entrance and exit about as level as the start/finish straight and they can go across the central reservation. Or just make it boring and put the pit parallel to the start/finish straight.

Ahh cool, but if by any chance someone loses the rear on turn where the pit lane is, how are you gonna stop them falling way down the cliff to the start/finish straight ?? or is it like that for added danger and thrills
