Hello folks!

The News
Just got back from a trip and that was a bit of a shock!
Checked the forums briefly on Monday, but was wirelessing in a restaurant through my ipod, so couldn't really browse too easy!

Must say I'm very surprised (I never win anything!), but really happy that I've been able to provide something that OC can take forward and use in the future! Is it just me or do you guys get frustrated at having so many **other major uk pc retailer** stores all over the place and so few of the likes of overclockers - so anything I can do to help them grow the better!

Other entries

Diggsy and Nimz had really great entries and imagine it was pretty much a toss of coin for OCUK to decide, so sure there was a lot of luck on my part! Also thought there were some great entries from Skippi & the like that could have easily been picked also - actually I also thought Otherside's very late entry here had loads of potential! http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18001655&page=59

Other things!
Anyway thanks for all your generous comments and don't worry I'll put the card to very good use (as I'd mentioned was needing one already!) - though I'll be upgrading the rest of the PC around it now so, I'll need to spec up to meet its standard!

Am just dashing off for a meal, having just arrived back ten minutes ago, so may not get to speak with Mark today (though will try!) - would love to help out in any other way. By the sounds of it, t-shirts could have a fair old demand!

As I said in my post, I really tried to strip any 'fashionable' effects and styles from my design and keep it as simple as possible, so hopefully this'll mean OCUK can easily modify it as times change, but keep the same underlying logo and branding.

(hey there's an idea for a second compo - pimp ma logo for the web 3.0! ;) )

Anyway, I don't pretend to be some great designer, but I've picked up some tricks, so if there's anything I can do to help any of you or answer questions, I'd be delighted to help if I can!

Thanks again for all your kind comments and can't wait to see the logo on the site (we totally need to resnazz the forum/site now, right? ;) )

Arrh well done Katie and everyone else who entered, because as katie said there are some amazing other entries too.

Yes you will have to upgrade now! :D But thats for another thread haha.

Congrats. :)

I'm designing my own site atm so would it be possible for you to have a look at my designs and maybe give some feedback?

Skippi90 - of course! You've got mail!

RickSri - heh, that's a bit mean! Hope the poor folks don't read this forum!

Just had a quick chat with Mark (chairman of OCUK) - will be sketching out slight tweaks for use in signs, workwear, website etc just to make sure it suits perfectly.

Will also post a piccie of me receiving when I get the card, if you like! Maybe also a photo of me after I fry the motherboard fitting it! - can never be bothered with all those anti-static worries! (I'm an electrical engineer by degree, so I'm careless with electricity!)
