Designed to help but hinder...

Recently had 2 hire cars as mine was in getting work done . Astra CdTI . And megane diesel .
Astra was a lot quicker but had perm traction control which actually slowed me down ... It was way to intrusive and cut the power way to much . Why cant they just fit a button like they used to to switch the dam thing off!! The Megane had a little less power but no traction control and once used to it was a joy to drive as could use all the power withought the electronics getting in the way .

My 1998 clio insists on storing water in the roof, and leaking it out from the roof plastics whenever you go around a corner. This results in the sunroof not working anymore, and generally a wet lap for either myself or my passengers.
As i cannot open the sun-roof, I am also unable to access the mechanism to remove it and find the leak.
As a result of this, I have had to duck tape around the seams of the sunroof to keep myself dry!

My old Mk4 Escort had a similar feature but the roof would apparently store the water indifinetely, well until someone poked the headlining at least.

At the time I was doing a lot of meetups and events for various IRC channels and mailing lists (no web forums back then) and as one of the few who actually had a car I'd end up ferrying every bugger about. Invariably someone would decide to point out that there's a massive wet patch on my headlining and then poke it as if I didn't know where it was, at this point it would empty the water onto their heads.

I never fixed it because it was funny.
