Hi guys,
Has anyone on here had any experience is designing and making their own enclosure?
At the moment, I have a cardboard box of a netgear POE switch which I have put my GPU, SFX PSU and PE4L card (altogether an eGPU), which looks like this...
Normally, I wouldn't have it setup like the above with the monitor and keyboard. The laptop would normally be on the floor with the eGPU next to it, plugged in to the TV, and me using a portable mini keyboard with trackpad built in to drive the thing, well use it to load up AC so I can then drive using my G27!
The idea is that I was thinking about buying a Silverstone ML07 to slot in under the TV and run the cable via the CD slot out to just plug it in to the laptop, so the eGPU is always setup under the TV, all I have to do is put the laptop in front of it all and plug it in.
The problem with the ML07 is that it will be a tight fit into the space in the TV stand, however if I ever then want to turn the eGPU into a proper PC, I have the case all ready. So I was thinking maybe using a 3D cad program to design an enclosure and get it 3d printed.
Anyone done the design and 3d printing of a case before?
