The icute case isnt perfect, but its cheap and i think it looks nice , and the airflow is fantastic (due to the 250mm fan on the side), however i needed to volt mod the fans (front 120 fan were too noisy for my liking), and got a 120 amber for the back as it dont have a fan at the back as new. I liked the look of the antec 900 case, but i dont like top fans ( the icute looked similar and way way cheaper!), and i can happily put items on the top of my pc.
You can put drives from top to bottom , and also if needed add another 120mm front fan , leaving 3 bays for roms and a floppy or what ever. Hard drives can sit pretty much anyway in the front of the case, wether it be behind fans or not. On my older cases, i always used to leave the side off, for better ventaltion, and spent ages hiding cables and stuff , but dust was a mare after time , and so finally went for a case where i wouldnt want to look inside anymore, and can shut up shop as it were , and leave it be.
My cpu idles warm due to mega low revs on the AF7 cooler (DS3 board inside with a 6400 chip @3.2 gig & 3 gig of 6400 ram , x-fi soundcard as onboard is tripe ! ..oh and a 7900GT with a vf900 on low revs cooling it) but when the pc is in some serious stress the temps pick up by 5-7 degree max which is very impressive !!
I sprayed one of my old silver roms matt black, as with the media floppy drive. Cable management is a little tricky with the space inside, but there is a nice space on the rear side when panel is off to stuff cables if the power supply isnt modular. Decent rubber washers will be needed if your hard drives and roms hum a bit , but after a few tweaks its a quiet as i could have wished for. The case looks better as the photos dont really do it justice, camera`s always pick up odd light reflections you dont see with the eye
I seriously got tierd of silver cases, and black looks like it takes up less space to me , previously i refrained from buying black goods, but now i think it looks so much better. Dark is good !!
